It is a known fact that C8 Corvette is ready to hit the floors soon though nothing has come out officially from Chevrolet as of now. As per the sources, the next-generation, all-new, mid-engine Corvette C8 is going to be revealed officially on July 18th at an auto event. Where this event is taking place is a mystery right now yet it is suspected that it is going to take place somewhere near or in Detroit. Interestingly, Chevrolet is recommending people to sign up on the official page to get more updates.
C8 is a long-awaited, always-rumored, mid-engine Corvette. Moreover, its several high-performance variants are also set to launch in times to come. These variants include Z06, ZR1 and more. As per the current research, Z06 will have a DOHC 5.5-liter V-8 with a flat-plane crankshaft whereas; the ZR1 will be adding twin turbochargers to that engine. Also, it is said that Zora will be getting the twin-turbo V-8 and as well as an electric motor in the front axle to fix its place as the highly powerful Corvette. And that too with a combined power rating that could approach 1000 hp.
As per the sources, it is also being said that Chevrolet will cost the new Corvette at about $62,000 to begin with, and can go up to a hike of $5000. There has been no announcement as of now but we are expecting a line of orders to take place as soon as it hits the markets.
