Volkswagen is now taking preorders for its first long range ID.3 electric hatchback

Volkswagen has started taking for its long range ID.3 electric hatchback in Europe. Volkswagen has also released official information and photos of the production the electric hatchback.

They are also revealing details about the car’s name, its costs, and its features. Called the ID.3, Volkswagen will be selling three versions: cheapest model will cost “under €30,000” (about $33,600) and will travel 330 kilometers (about 200 miles) on a single charge using a 45kWh battery; a 58kWh model that will get 420km (261 miles); and a 77kWh configuration that will get a 550km (342 miles) range. All models will be capable of 125kW DC fast charging.

The finalized ID.3 will be revealed this September, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and production is planned commence by the end of the year. Deliveries might start in 2020.
